If you are a “Deadhead” then you’re going to love the lineup at this year’s Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, August 14-15 in Golden Gate Park. Why? Phil Lesh and Bob Weir’s Furthur have been named one of the headliners (Lesh and Weir were original members of the Grateful Dead). It’s been 19 years since Lesh and Weir played the park (their last appearance was in 1991; the Dead broke up in 1995).

The Lineup: Furthur headline the first night, along with the Strokes and My Morning Jacket. Night two opens with Kings of Leon. Other bands in the lineup include: Al Green, Gogol Bordello, Janelle Monáe, Empire of the Sun, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Nas, Levon Helm, the Whigs, Cat Power, Wolfmother, Bassnectar, Chromeo, the Temper Trap, Amos Lee and Mayer Hawthorne.

Two-day tickets go on sale June 2; single-day tickets will be available June 6, via the Outside Lands website.
