San Francisco has finally gotten the memo: People love rooftops. Enter the new 8,000 square-foot bar, lounge and restaurant, Jones.
Offering a decidedly New York industrial vibe, Jones is adjacent to one of San Francisco’s most renown historic landmark buildings, built in 1929, just three blocks east of Union Square — just follow the soaring blue-steel gates to the right of the Gaylord.
The tree-lined, heated, and downright enormous patio overlooks Geary Street and the surrounding high-rises, offering guests global cuisine highlighting French-American (with a dash of Spanish and Italian as well) by Oola chef, Ola Fendert.
While the dinner menu boasts everything from spicy prawns to pepperoni pizza, we’ve heard the real pièce de résistance is the sunday brunch with delectables dishes like chocolate-stuffed French toast, fontina omelots and croque monsieurs—and don’t worry, they serve “breakfast” till 3 PM.
